Other info.......

In 2004 we stayed in No. 2 The Mariners on holiday ourselves and had a lovely week. We stayed in Solva several more times over the years but were never lucky enough to get availability in the cottage. 

Roll on a few years and one February we were staying in a friends appartment in Upper Solva and saw that the cottage was up for sale.... our hearts ruled our heads and we bought it!

We have refurbished the cottage, getting rid of the old storage heaters, installing a nice kitchen, good showers, making all the bedrooms ensuite..... but have still tried to retain the charm and character of the original cottage.

There is a high chair, travel cot ( need to take your own bedding) and stair gate for little travellers.

There is a hairdryer.

I’m afraid we don’t usually accept dogs.

The cottage is a no smoking property. Electric smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are fitted on all floors.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT PROVIDE TOWELS.

There is a marked parking space at the end of the block of cottages.

Additional parking can be found at the harbour just a few hundred yards further on. Charges apply mid March to mid November.

We do have a permit available but take a deposit to make sure you remember to leave it at the end of your stay!

In school holidays our bookings are for full weeks and start on a Saturday but at other times we can be flexible, although a 3 night minimum stay will always be required.

To  allow  our  cleaner extra  time  to  carry  out  the  enhanced  cleaning  and  sanitising   currently recommended due to  Covid  the  cottage  won’t   be  available  until  5.00pm  the day of your arrival  and we ask that you leave the property by 10.00am on the morning of departure ....... though talk to me nearer your stay and, if other bookings allow, these times can be changed.

I am not a fan of anonymous holiday booking sites... we are on TripAdvisor and Airbnb but your cheapest option is to book with me directly as I won’t add a booking fee!!

We take 50% of the holiday cost to confirm a booking and the balance is due one month before your stay when you will  be sent directions/ key details etc.

You can pay by BACS or I can take card payments over the phone.
